Hand tuned by Massimo Fantini, the new MF.21
by Mega is designed for high end competition. Made by Novarossi
and assembled by Max engines in Italy the MF.21 features, hand
modified sleeve, machined piston, 14mm balanced lightweight crankshaft
and other performance enhancing modifications.
Crankcase
This all new dark grey anodised crankcase has
been forged from high grade aluminium and is therefore very strong
and highly durable. The design incorporates many cooling fins
to keep the temperature under control whilst the internal porting
ensures optimised gas flow.
To ensure a perfect seal, when the carburretor is mounted, the
opening for the carb has been fitted with a rubber o-ring whilst
to enable the smoothest possible movement of the crankshaft the
casing has been fitted with Swiss-made high quality bearings.
For looks, each side of the crankcase sports the Mega Symbol
and the MF.21 logo.
Cooling Head
This beautiful Orange anodised cooling head
features 8 cooling fins for regulating the temperature of your
engine. On top of the cooling head is the Mega Symbol, MF.21
logo and the engine categorisation symbols, all laser etched.
Combustion Chamber
Made from the finest quality alloy this combustion
chamber is precision made to ensure a prefect seal even under
extreme temperatures. This engine comes with a high quality 7TF
glow plug.
Crankshaft
The crankshaft is a 14mm diameter, lightweight
silicone filled crankshaft with hand modified, and hard-coated
crankshaft bell, that reduces weight whilst at the same time
significantly increasing durability. The intake through the crankshaft
is optimised to allow a continuous flow of the vaporised fuel/air
mixture into the crankcase. Counterweights are used to offset
the weight of the connecting rod pin and crank porting. Making
it more reliable, vibration-free and increasing top-end revs.
Carburettor
The MF.21 comes with a new fully adjustable
9 mm heat insulated aluminium carburettor. It has a new plastic
interchangeable venturi, to control your engine’s fuel
consumption. Simply change the venturi to change the consumption.
The special aluminium used for this carburettor aids cooling
and helps to maintain consistent settings. This carburettor has
2 needles to make adjusting simple and user friendly.
Piston & Conrod
This super lightweight dished piston has been
machined from high grade aluminium and features 3 rings around
its circumference for aiding lubricaton. The piston has been
made using true ABC (aluminium piston, brass sleeve with chrome
plating) construction for ultra long usage with little or no
visible wear.
Utilising bronze bushings top and bottom the conrod is aerodynamic
and lightweight therefore reducing resistance and allowing the
piston to move faster.
Sleeve
This 7 port high-density hard-chromed sleeve,
offers incredible durability coupled with hand modified ports
ensure that maximum revs are achieved as well as producing a
wide power band.
Backplate
The backplate is comes with 0-ring groove and
2 aerodynamic lugs for improved mixture flows and lubrication.
The backplate also features countersunk screws to aid the insertion
and removal of your engine from your car.
