Introducing PROTOform's Light Weight Stratus 3.0 "Carpet" Body
and PROTOform's Light Weight Stratus 3.0 "All-Purpose" Body.
PROTOform has a reputation for producing touring car racebodies
that are on the leading edge in terms of design and aerodynamics.
To enhance performance even further, we are now producing selected
touring car body styles in a light weight version. This LW option
has been requested by hardcore racers for quite some time. The extra
performance does come at a small price however. The bodies have a
slightly shorter racing life (depending on how good a racer you are)
because of the thinner material, and a slightly higher cost. From
our research, it seems most factory pro's and "go-fast racer
types" think it's a small price to pay compared to the performance
gain.
Though lighter in weight, they still have all the crisp detail and
structural integrity that you've come to expect from PROTOform race
bodies. There will be more selected styles of light weight bodies
to be announced in the future.
Since Craig Drescher's big win at the 2005 Reedy Race of Champions
using the Stratus 3.0 "AP" it was been used to win many
more world class events. The winner of the ultra competitive JMRCA
Japanese Sedan Nationals used the body as well, as did 8 of 10 racers
in the a-main. The LW Stratus 3.0 bodies come with wing, wing mounting
hardware and a decal sheet. As usual, protective film and window
masks ease the painting process.

- 1:18 DODGE STRATUS 3.0 Micro Body
With the continued popularity and evolution of
the Micro Sedan class it only seemed natural for PROTOform to develop
another direct descendant from its line of championship winning
1/10th scale race-sedan bodies. The new Stratus 3.0 Micro body
is just what the 1/18th crowd has been waiting for.
For the the serious racer, this body has been proportioned to
fit the original 150mm wheelbase chassis as well as the trendy
new 140mm wheelbase aftermarket chassis. It shares all the details
and styling cues of its bigger brother.
As usual it has comes with a protective coating, add on wing with
mounting screws, window masks, and a decal sheet. Its sure to be
a winner!
